Bestman Games Limited is the African distributor of customized editions of Hasbro's iconic Monopoly Board game for 48 African countries.
This board game takes you through familiar areas of Lagos from Makoko to Iddo to Muritala Mohammed airport. A great value game for all, lots of fun for the family and great for reminiscing if you haven’t been to Lagos in a while.
I would recommend this product to all families and not just those of Nigerian descent. Africans across the continent will enjoy this, especially if you pay attention to locations being named in Nollywood films. Other cultures will enjoy this too. Really a standard game of Monopoly just set elsewhere. Would have been nice to see the location names written in the correct form for instance, when an ‘s’ is to make the “sh”
I was thrilled to hear that one of my favourite board games was doing a Lagos Edition. This excitement was shared by my family who thoroughly enjoyed playing the first game a few days after it arrived. It offered the same fun and intense experience i remember from my childhood, with the added value of personally relating to each location on the board. There was obviously the normal barganing, accusations of cheating, going bankrupt because you don’t have a good strategy etc… All great fun!
Excellent purchase, good quality. Exactly what I wanted. I am still using it. I am having so much fun with children, friends and family.
I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the streets and places of Lagos was now represented via the most popular game of Monopoly, I HAD to have one in my collection. Let’s hope this is the first of many of its kind, perhaps a Monopoly Kingston or am I asking too much!!!!
Authentic product & the added twist makes it so fun. You really don’t want to spend any time longer than necessary in Kirikiri.
I own several versions of monopoly and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It’s nice to have a version repesenting your country.
This is my second purchase of this item. I took the first one around to my brother’s for Christmas. We gathered round, over-fed and curious after dinner and soon started a marathon game lasting into the small hours of the morning (including my 9 year old niece and my mother in her 70s cheering the players on). The penalties and fines always provoked a lot of laughter as it seemed so true to life back in Nigeria.
Bought two. One for me and a friend. Will buy more in the future.
I recently bought this game to play with a Nigerian family who came to my house. By playing the game, we had fun and I learned a lot about places in Lagos. Plus they added interesting bits of info about Lagos while we were playing. It is definitely a competitive and entertaining game. I loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone.
I enjoy the modern aspect of the city and the useful information for a tourist!
