“Tomie Balogun is a certified financial educator and a leader within the financial education space in Africa. With over a decade’s worth of experience across management consulting, telecommunications and value-added technology, she contributes her technical expertise and extensive experience to creating Fintech products and helping SMEs raise funding in Africa.
She is the Founder and current CEO of Vestract, a digital financial education company that provides financial education to millennials in Africa through the Green Investment club, (Nigeria’s biggest investment club) and connects them to vetted investment opportunities
Tomie provides strategic leadership to her digital startup in alignment with the organizational vision of democratizing investment opportunities for Africans. She has successfully facilitated crucial investment interventions for businesses across core sectors.
Under her astute leadership, TGIC has grown from 35 members at inception to 1700+ strong community of investors resident across 26 African countries. TGIC has also successfully mobilized $17m+ in investment in the capital market and across multiple sectors such as agro-processing, logistics, real estate development, logistics and consumer lending.
Celebrated as one of 100 most inspiring women in Africa by Leading Ladies Africa, Tomie manages the financial literacy goals of the company, successfully training 100,000+ millennials via online courses, free email courses and conducting financial literacy campus tours in 6 of the biggest universities in Nigeria in pursuance of the overarching goal of sustainable economic impact in Africa.
Prior to her current position, she functioned in high impact roles within other sectors of the economy. She was a product design and implementation lead at Greystone Partners. She was also selected as a young leader for Africans with promise for the Bharti Airtel Global young leaders program.
Tomie, who is an Amazon Best Selling author, contributes to social development through volunteer duties. She was a volunteer facilitator for Afara Leadership Development Program, an initiative that targets female undergraduate females with the objective of bridging currently existing leadership gaps. She also volunteered as a mentor for the Microsoft #insiderforgood program for promising startups in Nigeria.
Tomie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and is an alumni of the Harvard Fintech program”

Ibukun Omololu is the Principal Consultant and Lead researcher of The Teal Tree Company – a women’s development consulting firm focused on closing gender gaps through structured leadership development and financial education initiatives and interventions.
She is strongly committed to increasing female representation in leadership and executive management cadres of organizations and society at large through gender parity and diversity initiatives. Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Ibukun worked in the financial services sector for over 14 years leading the design and delivery of tailored financial products and services designed to meet the needs of women across multiple strata. Her work of advisory, consulting, and capacity building promoted financial inclusion that reached over 4000 women across various projects such as the EDC/CherieBlair/Exxon Mobil Foundation Road2Growth project, Flourish Africa Foundation project, CBN Stakeholders Roundtable amongst others. Her passion for socio-economic development of women, led her to champion the formation of The Bloom Network – an initiative designed to groom and optimize leadership capabilities for women across essential business areas at Sterling Bank.
Ibukun is the convener of ‘Women of Wealth’ financial literacy webinars and the Executive Producer of the podcast and newsletters – ‘Being More with Ibukun’.
A project that inspires women to amplify their voices and hone their leadership skills for more impact and influence. She is a nominee for the 2021 Trailblazers Award by the Strategic African Women in Leadership (SAWIL) organization and one of 20 globally selected Purpose Ambassadors of Bridge for Billions, advocating innovation and inclusive practices for female entrepreneurs and founders.
At her church – The Covenant Nation, she volunteers as the Governor of a community group for Work-from-Home Mothers, where she leads female working professionals and business owners through a structured coaching journey of personal transformation and development designed to help Stay-at-Home mothers build self-efficacy and support systems to enable them attain adequate balance between family, career and life demands.
An alumna of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs -a White House/Department of State initiative, Ibukun has spoken for organizations such as ExxonMobil, Covenant Capital, Flour Mills of Nigeria, 40+ Women Show, Flourish Africa, Tuteria, C&I Leasing amongst others. She has also spoken at several industry conferences such as:

She is the author of 3 books, the most prominent being “Behind the Little Bundles of Joy,” which she uses to prepare and educate women about childbirth and post-partum care.
