Mrs. Ibiai A. Ani is a Human Resources Management and Training Consultant with close to 30 years of core HR experience (16 of these at the Senior Management level in the large corporate private sector).
She is the Managing Consultant of The Daisy Management Centre Ltd, an HR Consulting and Training Firm that delivers programmes to help companies engineer constructive change within their organisations and for individual roles within the company. TheDaisy also provides outsourced HR Services and Support and provides Customer Service training certification programmes in collaboration with Customer 1st Global – a UK-based Customer Service firm.
Mrs. Ani’s key focus is on Skills Development and Personal Excellence – helping individuals to improve their skills and productivity, build their confidence and increase their employability. She runs programmes on Communication techniques, Managing your Time and Work Methods, Identifying your Talent and Passion and several other programmes designed to improve human performance and capability.
Mrs. Ani qualified as a lawyer with a degree from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1981. In 1984, she obtained a diploma in Interior Design from London’s Inchbald School of Design, winning the competition for designing the interior of a private jet. She worked first in the Rivers State Ministry of Justice and subsequently in the Federal Ministry of Justice before she joined the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC). A seasoned HR professional and experienced training facilitator, Mrs. Ani spent 12 years at SPDC and subsequently joined Citibank Nigeria (a subsidiary of Citigroup) as the Country Head of Human Resources overseeing Nigeria and Ghana before she incorporated The Daisy Management Centre. She is an accredited Team Trainer, and a certified Customer Service Online Tutor. Mrs. Ani is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) and is currently a member of the Strategic Planning and Implementation Committee (SPIC) of the Institute. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of management Consultants (IMC).
She served on the Board of FirstBank of Nigeria Ltd as a non-Executive Director for 6 years, providing Board level guidance and oversight to the HR function. She was also the immediate past Chairperson on the Board of InSourcing Ltd (from 2009 to 2016), a Subsidiary of FirstBank whose key function was recruitment outsourcing.
Mrs. Ani currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Institute of Directors. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of The PlayPen (A Child Development Centre), and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Port-Harcourt Literary Society. She is also a non-executive Director on the boards of CMB Building Maintenance & Investment Company Ltd. and Bestman Games Ltd.
